Terms of Service

1. The Service

Scriptvise provides AI-assisted manuscript preparation tools for academic authors, including readiness analysis, similarity detection, journal matching, and formatted export. The platform is provided “as is” for informational and productivity purposes. It does not constitute academic, legal, or editorial advice.

2. Your Account

• You must be 16 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
• One person per account — accounts may not be shared.
• You may not use Scriptvise to submit manuscripts on behalf of others without their knowledge.

3. Your Content

You retain full ownership of any manuscript you upload. By uploading you grant Scriptvise a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your manuscripts.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the manuscript (e.g. you are an author or have the author’s permission) and that uploading it does not infringe any third-party rights.

4. AI Processing & Third Parties

Certain features use the Google Gemini API. By using these features you acknowledge that relevant portions of your manuscript will be transmitted to Google’s servers. See our Privacy Policy §2 for details.

AI-generated output (suggestions, rationales, cover letters) is provided for your review. You are solely responsible for verifying its accuracy before use.

5. Subscriptions & Payment

• Access to paid features requires an active Pro or Premium subscription.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay or PayPal — we do not store card details.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@scriptvise.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to share.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform.
• Use Scriptvise to facilitate plagiarism or academic misconduct.
• Circumvent plan quotas or access controls.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Scriptvise is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that AI-generated output is accurate, complete, or fit for submission to any journal. Journal matching results are indicative only — always verify with the target journal directly.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scriptvise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including rejected submissions or publication decisions.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@scriptvise.com. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days (see Privacy Policy §5).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
